The Antarctic Circumpolar Current developed after the glaciation of Antarctica

The claim states that the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) developed after the glaciation of Antarctica. However, major paleoceanographic studies (such as papers 1 and 3) establish that continental-scale glaciation began at the Eocene-Oligocene transition (~34 Ma), whereas the modern or deep-reaching ACC developed significantly later (either during the late Oligocene 31-26 Ma or the late Miocene). Thus, glaciation preceded the ACC rather than the other way around, or at minimum, the timeline directly contradicts the sequential premise of the claim. Papers 1 and 3 directly refute the notion that the current formed after the icehouse state was already established in the modern sense without prior glaciation.
