AI tutors give accurate feedback on student writing.

Is it true that AI tutors give accurate feedback on student writing?

Partly. One small classroom study found students valued AI-generated feedback for clarity and alignment, though it may not yet match human depth, and one study reports GPT-4 effectively diagnosing a range of student errors. Against this, a systematic review found automated scoring systematically biased against non-native English writers, so the evidence covers only parts of the claim and points both ways.
