Is it true that Brazil nuts are radioactive due to radium?

Yes. A peer-reviewed literature review and an encyclopedia entry state that Brazil nuts accumulate radium (Ra-226 and Ra-228) from the soil, making them radioactive. Other reference sources report Brazil nuts as far more radioactive than other foods due to radium content.
