Is it true that the CDC recommends annual influenza vaccination for everyone aged 6 months and older in the United States?

Yes. The CDC's own page states that everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every season, and ACIP/CDC recommendation reports likewise state routine annual influenza vaccination for all persons aged 6 months and older.
