Recorded sources

Counts group repeated records of the same source within each side. They do not measure evidence strength or source independence.

Is it true that Axolotls live only in Mexico?

Unclear. Several sources describe axolotls as native or endemic to Mexico, including Xochimilco and other Mexican waters, but none states that they live only in Mexico. The evidence supports a Mexican native range, not exclusivity.
