Is it true that Wittgenstein's later philosophy rejected the Tractatus picture theory?

Yes. A thesis on Wittgenstein's later writings states that the grounds for rejecting the picture theory are discussed in the later writings, and several reference works note that the later Wittgenstein rejected the Tractatus's assumptions or the picture theory of meaning. One book challenges the conventional view that he rejected Tractatus philosophy after 1930.
