The universe's total entropy is increasing over time.

Is it true that the universe's total entropy is increasing over time?

Unclear. Several sources state or assume that entropy increases over time, including a textbook statement of the second law and a forum answer saying entropy always increases as the universe expands. None of the placed items directly measures or establishes the total entropy of the entire universe increasing; the strongest are general second-law statements and speculative preprints.
