Pornography leads to sexual violence.

the verdict
CONTESTED PARTIAL
Recorded sources
8 sources for · 1 against

Counts group repeated records of the same source within each side. They do not measure evidence strength or source independence.

Is it true that pornography leads to sexual violence?

Partly. Evidence on whether pornography leads to sexual violence is mixed and mostly indirect: several sources report associations or suggest pornography may contribute to sexual violence, while a reference source notes a longitudinal study finding pornography use cannot be a perpetrating factor in intimate partner violence and that there is no clear evidence it causes rape. No item establishes a general causal link.
