How verdicts split by topic

Topics come from keywords in the claim, so a claim can sit in a topic that is not quite its own. Shares are of that topic's receipts.

How it was made, and its limits

Each receipt is one check: the claim was searched against published research and other sources, the evidence on each side was weighed, and the outcome was recorded with its sources. How a receipt gets made →

The claims are the ones people and our own runs chose to check, not a sample of what is true or false in the world, so the verdict shares describe this archive and nothing wider. A verdict can be incomplete or mistaken; receipts are revised when new evidence arrives, and withdrawn or under-review receipts are left out. None of these numbers says a receipt is correct.
