Is it true that identical twins have the same blood type?
Yes. A 1930s study of 35 twin pairs reports that monozygotic (identical) twins had the same blood group type in all cases, and a 1973 study notes identical twins' similarity in ABO type. A single case report also describes identical twins sharing red blood cell antigens.
