The "Revista Brasileira de Hematologia e Hemoterapia" (RBHH) is the only journal in our specialty south of the equator and one of two hematology and transfusion medicine journals in Latin America. It is the result of the progression from the old "Boletim da Sociedade Brasileira de Hematologia e Hemoterapia" and it is in its 12th year of existence. In this period our journal evolved naturally, but this development was less than what the scientific community wants and needs. Data presented by "Scopus" (www.scimagojr.com) show the remarkable evolution of scientific publications in our field within the international setting. We publish at a pace similar to the Chinese and more than India and all other emerging countries. In just ten years the number of indexed publications in Brazil grew about 10-fold, that is at a rate of 15-20% per annum. Moreover, it is important to note that only about 20% of these publications are linked to international trails; i.e., 80% are wholly Brazilian publications. All this is great, but still small. In spite of being the world's eighth largest economy, Brazilian Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is in 16th place in the ranking of indexed publications. This study aims to analyze and summarize research trends in the beauty salon industry, comparing publications across different countries and journals. As interest in the beauty salon industry rapidly grows, no comprehensive bibliometric analysis has been conducted on this industry. Articles extracted from Web of Science (WoS) between 1990 and 2024 were identified and summarized using Excel and VOSviewer platforms. The types of publications, years of publication, citations, research trends, and areas of focus, as well as the country of publication, publisher, and leading institution, were recorded and analyzed. Additionally, bibliometric maps illustrating co-citations and keyword co-occurrence were created. Based on 880 articles, the results indicate a significant increase in the number of articles related to beauty salons over the years. Most of the publications analyzed were articles published in the USA, focusing on public environmental and occupational health, and written by researchers from the University of London, published by Elsevier. This study is the first bibliometric analysis dedicated to examining the academic literature of the beauty industry, providing valuable insights into emerging trends and key areas of interest in the field.
The number of academic publications in the building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) field has rapidly grown. Most published articles focus on a specific topic, such as mathematical model, solar architecture design, photovoltaic effect, solar cell, grid-connected, efficiency, performance assessment, economic analysis, optimization, and others with broader focus areas. This work focuses on BIPV research with bibliometric analysis through documents, cited references, authors, affiliations, countries, funding sponsors, sources, words, and conceptual structure based on the Scopus-indexed database between 1971 and 2022. The result shows that BIPV research constantly grows annually with strong collaboration authorship. China is the most relevant country with the top affiliation and funding sponsor to support the BIPV research. The terms conjugated polymers, photovoltaic properties, and organic polymer are identified as niche themes. On the other hand, the terms of conversion efficiency, perovskite, photovoltaic devices, solar cells, efficiency, and photoelectrochemical cell clusters are emerging themes. In the future, BIPV research will move towards microgrids, energy, performance, energy management systems, and energy efficiency issues. The finding will also provide researchers and organizations with a comprehensive understanding of BIPV research areas and new directions for future research.
