Multiple epidemiological meta-analyses, toxicological reviews, and lifetime rodent bioassays provide robust evidence supporting the carcinogenic potential of glyphosate and glyphosate-based weed killers.
The retrieved literature contains multiple high-quality systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and animal carcinogenicity studies (such as Zhang et al., 2019; Portier et al., 2020; and Falcioni et al., 2025) that consistently support the claim that Roundup and glyphosate-based herbicides are carcinogenic. No retrieved papers refute the claim with empirical data.
