Clinical studies consistently show that prior COVID-19 infection confers natural immunity that significantly decreases the severity of illness and mortality upon reinfection.
Papers [3] and [8] explicitly provide clinical evidence demonstrating that recurrent or secondary SARS-CoV-2 infections are associated with milder disease courses, lower hospitalization rates, and reduced severity compared to primary infections. None of the provided papers refute the claim.
