Consuming foods rich in water and dietary fiber promotes satiety and helps regulate energy intake while maintaining a low caloric footprint. Multiple studies demonstrate that high-fiber and high-volume foods improve fullness ratings and reduce hunger.
The retrieved literature supports the physiological mechanisms by which dietary fiber and high-water foods increase digesta volume, slow gastric emptying, and enhance subjective satiety without excessive caloric density. Papers [1], [7], and [9] directly show favorable effects of dietary fiber on satiety and appetite suppression, and no papers refute the claim.
