Background: Diabetes Mellitus is still a global problem today. This is demonstrated by the 2018 global data, which indicates that diabetes mellitus is the ninth leading cause of mortality and that the number of people with the disease has quadrupled over the last three decades. This research aims to estimate the magnitude of the impact intervention in giving cinnamon extract based on the findings of several earlier research. Methods: This study uses secondary data sources with a systematic approach utilizing meta-analyses and PICO. The population consists of patients with type 2 diabetes., Intervention is giving extra cinnamon. The outcome is blood sugar levels. Keywords for the articles searched were as follows: “cinnamon” AND “Diabetes mellitus type 2” AND “randomized controlled trial”. The articles that are part of it. This research uses a randomization-controlled trial study design and is a full-text article. Utilizing the PRISMA flow diagram, articles are gathered. They used the Review Manager 5.3 program to analyze. Results: Research indicates that giving individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus additional cinnamon eating interventions significantly lowers their blood sugar levels (Standardized Mean Difference = -0.74; 95% CI = -1.67 to 0.18; p= 0.110). Conclusion: The consumption of cinnamon supplements has been shown to significantly lower blood glucose levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Therefore, cinnamon supplementation may be considered as a com

Background: Cinnamon has been studied as a possible way to control blood glucose and serum cholesterol levels. However, there are no well-conducted randomized controlled trials that can accurately measure the lipid and glucose-lowering effects of Cinnamomum zeylanicum (C. zeylanicum) extract. This study primarily aimed to evaluate the effect of a standardized C. zeylanicum extract on serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and secondarily on other lipid parameters (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), total cholesterol and triglycerides), glucose levels, anthropometri

The Anti-Diabetic and Cholesterol-Lowering Effects of Cinnamon and Cassia Bark Introduction: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 150 million people worldwide have type 2 diabetes. Common and cassia cinnamon have been reported to have anti-diabetic and lipid-lowering effects. Objective: To determine if the combination common and cassia cinnamon product Cinnamonforce™ (Cinnamomum verum and C. aromaticum) reduces fasting blood glucose, insulin, glycosylated hemoglobin (HA1C), triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Methodology: Seventy (70) type 2 diabetic participants will be randomized to receive either 140 mg of Cinnamonforce twice daily or placebo over 12 weeks. Physical and laboratory measurements will be taken at baseline, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and at the end of the trial, 13 weeks. Results: The differences in the measurements obtained from the group receiving Cinnamonforce and the placebo group will be analyzed and discussed.

Molecules derived from cinnamon have demonstrated diverse pharmacological activities against infectious pathogens, diabetes and inflammatory diseases. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the cinnamon-derived molecule IND02 on the adhesion of leukocytes to host cells. The anti-inflammatory ability of IND02, a pentameric procyanidin type A polyphenol polymer isolated from cinnamon alcohol extract, was examined. Pretreatment with IND02 significantly reduced the attachment of THP-1 cells or neutrophils to TNF-α-activated HUVECs or E-selectin/ICAM-1, respectively. IND02 also reduced the bindi

Background: Cinnamon has been shown to potentiate the hypoglycaemic effect of insulin through up regulation of the glucose uptake in cultured adipocytes of rats. This study tried to find out the effect of Cinnamon alone or in combination with Insulin in diabetic albino rats. Methods: Thirty rats were divided into three groups, A and B. Group A were given cinnamon extract 200 mg/Kg body weight daily orally and group B rats were given cinnamon extract 400 mg/Kg body weight daily. After six weeks blood glucose and lipid profile levels were evaluated in all the groups. Results: Group of rats given
